Halloween is coming.
I know that during October it feels like everywhere you look is Halloween Candy and snacks.
These are the 4 words that I want you to think about before you reach for those candies.
Control- Portion Control. 1 piece of candy is not going to ruin your nutritional goals. But eating 5 or 6 pieces will!
Cravings- If your craving chocolate, Have a chocolate protein bar not a Snickers Bar. Whatever your craving, I am sure someone made a protein bar that tastes like that. But you if you truly want that snickers bar, have it. Have it guilt free and then move on.
Don’t eat candy just because it is there. Eat it only when you truly want it and then enjoy every bite of it.
Conquer- Stay On track and conquer your goals. Set food boundaries at home, work, everywhere. Other people may NOT be on the same journey as you, but your journey deserves to be respected and accepted.
Cardio- Get your steps in. This is the perfect weather to get outside and get moving. Reminder: You cannot work off a bad diet. I do not like those graphs that show a piece of cake and say you can work that off in a 3-mile run. It doesn’t work that way. But more steps will improve your overall wellness. So, get to steppin’!
