This Month I want to focus on wellness as a LIFELONG COMMITMENT that you're making to and for yourself! Many people are taking their workouts/training online and into the comfort of their homes. Sometimes driving to the gym can seem like just one more thing on your already long to-do list. But when you have those dumbbells staring at you from across the room, it can be harder to ignore your workout and quicker to accomplish it. It’s also hard to ignore your trainer who can see if you completed your assigned workout and tasks on the Everfit app.
A healthy lifestyle is a commitment and a lifelong process. I didn’t hit my goal weight and then just stop. I didn’t see the 3 magical numbers I had been dreaming of on the scale and everything was AWESOME!
No, the hard work continues. Just as hard as it is to lose the weight, it takes just as much commitment, dedication and effort to keep the weight off!! I believe in the quote “the struggle is part of the story.” Honestly, I believe the struggle is the whole fucking story. The struggle is what makes victory taste so sweet. Sweet like a chocolate or Nutella!
You have to find your “WHY.” Your WHY is what changes your struggle into your success.
1.) Your “why” is what will drive you forward when you start to struggle. Your why needs to be just as much emotional as physical. Often times, the physical weight doesn’t come off because you are not addressing your emotional weights.
2.) Make a list of what you want to achieve or have, by losing weight. (Losing weight isn’t your why, it's part of the action plan)
3.) Change your thinking of “I need to lose weight” to “I deserve to be healthy and happy.” This is about you and no one else. Others may walk beside you, but no one can walk for you.
4.) Then write your why, put it as the backdrop on your phone, on a post-it in your purse or on your bathroom mirror.
